| 内容記述 | Grandparents often assume roles and functions that promote the health and development of their grandchildren with handicaps. But little formal attention has been paid to a significant component of the extended family:grandparents. This study investigated the mothers'views on paternal grandmothers. Mothers of children with handicaps and mothers of normal children responded to a questionnaire. The results suggested that mothers of children with handicaps had more negative views on their relationships with grandmothers and grandmothers'relationships with children than did mothers of normal children. The implications of these results were discussed in terms of formal support services for grandparents of children with handicaps. 祖父母は,障害のある子ども(疏)の健康と発達にとりいくつかの役割を果たし,また貢献していると考えられる｡ しかし,拡大家族の重要な成員である祖父母に対して,これまで組織的な研究はほとんどなされていない｡ 本研究は,子どもにとって父方の祖母に注目し,同居の父方祖母に対する母親の意識を明らかにしようとした｡ 障害児をもつ母親たちと障害のない子どもをもっ母親たちに質問紙が配布され,回答が求められた｡ その結果,祖母と自分の関係や,子どもと祖母の関係について,障害児をもっ母親たちは非障害児の母親たちよ りも総じてネガティブな意識を持っていることが示唆された｡研究結果は,障害児の祖父母に対する専門機関にお ける支援の必要性やそのあり方とも関連させて,考察された｡ |
