The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of 1-on-1 meeting-style dialogue as an effective mentoring method in schools, and to propose a simplified method for mentoring. Twelve full-time teachers working at public elementary schools, excluding managers, provided 1-on-1 meeting-style mentoring for four months. Before and after that, we conducted a questionnaire survey on dialogue in the workplace. In addition, after each mentoring, a reflection sheet was filled out, monthly interviews were held with mentors and mentees representatives, and interviews were conducted with managers after mentoring. These results were analyzed and classified into outcomes and challenges for mentors, mentees, and managers. The mentoring method revealed in this study gives effective perspectives to managers and teachers who provide mentoring in schools. |
