| 内容記述 | 雑誌ＴＨＥ ＭＡＴＨＥＭＡＴＩＣＡＬ ＧＡＺＥＴＴＥ の第95巻（2011）に掲載されたＡ.Ｋ.Jobbings の結果は大変興味あるものであり、教材として活用できると思われる。中学校および高等学校での学習内容との関連を加味しながら解説する。 We review a result given by Andrew K.Jobbings in The Mathematical Gazette 95(2011). His result is "Suppose that the diameters of two touching semicircles are parallel chords of a circle. Then the sum of the areas of the semicircles is half the area of the circle." We comment on it from viewpoint of mathematics curricula in Japanese junior and senior high school. We think the result is a good teaching material. |
