| 内容記述 | 中学校教員の放射線に関する認識と放射線の指導に関する知識・技能について明らかにするため，秋田県の中学校理科教員を対象にアンケート調査を行った．また，中学生の放射線に関する認識や放射線の学習に対する意欲について明らかにするため，秋田県央部の中学校３年生を対象にアンケート調査を行った．調査の結果,多くの教員は,放射線の指導に関して,教材研究の不足や教材･教具の不足，基礎的な知識の不足に問題を感じていることがわかった.また,簡易の放射線測定器を使って実験を行いたい，あるいは映像資料を使って授業をしたいと考えていること，実験方法や実践例などの授業に役立つ内容を取り上げた研修の機会を求めていることがわかった．一方，中学生においては，放射線の実体を概ね正しく認識していると考えられる割合は１割強であった．また，放射線に関する用語等の認知度は低かったが，約85％の生徒が放射線について学習したいと考えていることがわかった.更に，多くの生徒は，放射線の問題点や危険性，放射線の性質，放射線と健康との関係について学習したいと考えていることがわかった． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | We distributed the questionnaire to the junior high school science teachers of Akita Prefecture. The purpose was to assess teachers' recognition of radiation, and to assess their knowledge of how to teach about radiation. The results showed that the teachers felt the largest problem lay with the basic teaching of radiation. Their problem centered on their own shortage of fundamental knowledge，lack of research related teaching materials available and a lack of instructional experience. The teachers were seeking a simple way to detect radiation，visual teaching aids and training support. ln addition，teachers sought supplementary useful training focusing on experimental methods and practical examples. We distributed the questionnaire to junior high school third graders in the central part of Akita prefecture. The purpose was to assess students’recognition about radiation, and to assess the level of students' motivation they possess to learn about radiation. The result showed that the percentage of students who correctly recognized the presence of radiation was less than ２０％. In addition，the recognition of terms relating to radiation was low. Junior high school students' motivation, however，to learn about radiation was high. Many students thought they would want to learn about the healt hproblems and the nature and dangers of radiation． | |||||||||
