| 内容記述 | The "Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan" including the Jomon Ruins "Oyu Stone Circles" and "Isedotai Stone Circles" located in Akita Prefecture have been registered as World Cultural Heritage Sites. The report summarizes the story of fifteen years of twists and turns until it was registered as a World Cultural Heritage, and describes the value of the Jomon Prehistoric Sites as a World Heritage from the standpoint of a World Heritage registration promoter on the Akita Prefecture side. In addition, when considering World Heritage Education from the perspective of ESD (Education for Sustainable Development), we reconsider "Oyu Stone Circles" and "Isedotai Stone Circles" as educational assets from the perspective of "Learning Our Roots in Akita." The junior volunteer guide project at "Isedotai Stone Circles" can serve as an example and it is in line with "Learning Our Roots in Akita." It is argured that the project should be promoted as a foundation for world heritage education that best utilizes the characteristics of this prefecture's education. | |||||||||||||
