| 内容記述 | A questionnaire survey was conducted on 17 adults using cochlear implants and the following results were obtained. 1) Duration of use is whole day excluding those working in noisy workplaces. Place of use include homes, hospitals, banks, outdoors such as when walking on streets, workplaces, etc. 2) One to one dialogue can be conducted sufficiently with the use of lipreading, but there are limits to dialogue between multiple parties and the place of noise. 3) All replied that sound quality of cochlear implant differs from before deafness. Eleven replied that different from before deafness but no discomfort, while six replied considerably different from before deafness and discomfort. 4) Cochlear implant enables not only users to hear what other are saying, but also recognition of environment sounds such as cars driving and birds chirping, providing sense of security and enrich to users. 5) All users replied that they were glad they had undergone surgery for cochlear implant. Compared to before cochlear implant surgery, users participated in conversations more actively as well as in gatherings, enhancing the social activities and quality of life for users of cochlear implant. | |||||||||
