Almost half a century has passed since the first prefectural youth outdoor education centre was established in the 1970’s. During this period, the facilities were primarily used by a large number of students from a range of schools. Analysing expansive usage data has revealed the true scale of the role that these facilities play, as well as the associated problems. Utilising my experience as an instructor, having led groups of students at these facilities; and as a facility director, involved in management, I hope to reflect upon past activity and explore the ideal youth education centre for the future. |
