内容記述 | In high school education, in contrast to compulsory subjects, there are no common teaching materials for music classes. All the contents of specific teaching materials are left to the discretion of the teacher. For this reason, publishers of high-school music textbooks have to consider the extent of a teacher's discretion in deciding materials and include materials of varying complexity in the music textbooks. In other words, they have to include more than which can be feasibly covered within a year. This issue particularly affects Japanese instrumental music classes that teach performance skills. Though it is an optional subject, it is challenging to expand the class content relying only on the standard teaching materials, materials that are often inadequate in terms of both quality and quantity. It is often the case that even if a teacher chooses one of the teaching materials published in the textbooks, he or she has to supplement the course content with material from a different source. To create more useful and appropriate textbooks, the teaching guidelines and the textbook system need to be considered from an educational engineering perspective. | |||||||||
