| 内容記述 | In 2014, I delivered a series of public lectures on vocal music in Akita Prefecture, aimed at senior citizens aged 60 years or older. The topics covered were vocalization and singing techniques. From conversations with senior citizens attending the lectures, it became apparent that the learners’ needs with regard to education in singing varied considerably. The needs could generally be divided into three categories, described below along with the instruction that I planned in order to meet each need: A: Cultural Education/Lifelong Learning: vocal music lectures/concert B: Enjoying Singing: introductory lectures on vocal music C: Specialized Vocal Music Education: vocal music tutorials for individual learners In 2015, courses pertaining to categories A and B were held in four cities in Akita Prefecture. Through followup questionnaires administered to the participants, it was confirmed that these courses met community members’ perceived needs in terms of education in singing. |
