After the East Japan great earthquake disaster that occurred in March, 2011, further promotion of the disaster prevention education is planned in Japan. It is required that each school makes an annual instruction plan for disaster prevention education in Akita prefecture. However, the effect of a disaster prevention education is not clear. We investigated contents of disaster prevention educations among an elementary school in Akita city and clarified the influence that disaster prevention education brought in knowledge and consciousness for a disaster and the disaster prevention of schoolchildren. Furthermore, we describe a local earthquake drills with the elementary and junior high school as an example, and clarified that an importance of the disaster prevention education that cooperated with a local community. As a result, we find that earthquake and fire drills that have originality bring higher effect to schoolchildren. And, differences of class and lecture contents also give different influences to them. In addition, we clarified that the importance of cooperating with a school, home and local communities. |
