| 内容記述 | Admission office-managed entrance examination (AO) was introduced to Japan in 1990. In 2003, after 13 years of its introduction, the Faculty of Engineering and Resource Science of Akita University also started the process. By the autumn of 2012, the 10th AO will have been implemented by the Faculty. This paper first provides a general overview of the state of university entrance examinations in Japan. Then, it describes how AO has been implemented. Finally, it discusses the problems encountered by the Faculty in the process of implementing AO. |
