| 内容記述 | Physiotherapy guidelines and standards of physiotherapy practice are a prerequisite condition for facilitating continuous quality improvement in physiotherapy services. The objective of this report is to introduce UK guidelines and standards to Japanese physiotherapists. Clinical guidelines are systematically developed statements that assist clinicians and patients in making decisions about appropriate treatment for specific conditions (Mann, 1996). Standards are a professionally agreed level of service or care which encapsulates a definition of good practice. The standard is expressed in the form of a statement, against which current practice can be tested to see whether or not the standard has been achieved (RCN, 1989). The development process of guidelines involves the identification of a topic, organizing a project team, finding the evidence, appraising and rating the evidence, making statements, peer review and piloting the guidelines, presentation of the guidelines and reviewing the guidelines. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy published core standards relating to individualized physiotherapy and service standards relating to departmental service practice in 2000. The core standards have 22 statements and 103 criteria for clinical audit, and the service standards have 20 statements and 108 criteria. There are also 28 active physiotherapy guidelines and standards relating to specific fields of physiotherapy services in the UK, and they cover most daily physiotherapy practice. |
