| 内容記述 | ここ十数年の地方経済においては，公共交通政策の見直しの中で，巡回バスを中心とした地方の交通手段 が縮小されてきた。これは特に過疎地において，代替的な交通手段を持たない若年層に対する外界からの刺 激の抑制，とりわけ大学等への進学を考えるきっかけの減少を生じさせる可能性がある。本稿ではこの点に 着目し，直接効果としての経済環境および間接効果としての地域の交通コストの両者が進学率格差に与える 影響を同時に推定するため，秋田県内市町村に関する統計データを用いたパス解析を行う。モデルを通した 分析から，男女の高校生において，経済環境としての地域の所得水準は必ずしも直接的には進学率格差を拡 大させていないことが明らかになった。その一方で，特に男子高校生においては，地域交通コストを通した 格差拡大の可能性が示唆された。仮に経済環境の面で相対的に劣位にある地域においてモビリティのアクセ スが削減される場合，格差がより拡大される可能性がある。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In recent decades, local economies have seen a reduction in the number of public transportation systems, especially buses, due to a re-examination of public transportation policies. Reduced transportation is a serious problem, especially in depopulated areas, for young people who have no alternative means of transportation. The reduction of contact with many people through transportation may also reduce the opportunities for them to think about their future. In this paper, we focus on the correlation between university enrollment rates and various variables representing the regional environment, and conduct a path analysis using statistical data on municipalities in Akita Prefecture. In particular, the direct effect of the economic environment and the indirect effect of regional transportation costs are treated simultaneously in the model to estimate their effects on the gap in university enrollment rates. The analysis through the model reveals that the income level of the region as an economic environment does not necessarily directly increase the gap in the university-going rate for both male and female high school students. On the other hand, for male high school students, the results suggest the possibility of widening the gap through regional transportation costs. If mobility access is reduced in regions with relatively poor economic environments, the disparity may be further widened. | |||||||||||||
