| 内容記述 | 重症度4の筋萎縮性側索硬化症の症例に対して福祉用具による支援を実施した.症例は歩行が可能であったが,立ちあがりや座る動作は不安定であった.また,上肢動作はかなり低下していた.症例は日中一人になり,適度な休養をとる,外部との連絡をとれないことによる不安があった.そこで,電動リクライニング椅子を導入し,リクライニングのスイッチを呼吸スイッチに改良し,椅子の肘おきを延長した.また,ハンズフリー電話を導入したことにより,ホームヘルパーの支援も受けながら日中一人で生活することができた. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | To improve quality of life for a patient with grade 4 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis who was living at home, a number of new home-care devices were introduced. While the patient was able to walk, the patient required help in standing and sitting. Also, movement of the upper arm was significantly restricted. The patient was alone during the day and was feeling unsure about being unable to rest or make contact with anyone. An electric reclining chair was therefore brought in, and modified by extending the armrest and converting the chairreclining switch to a breathing-aid switch. Also, by installing a hands-free telephone, the patient was able to live alone during the day with the support of a home helper. | |||||||||
