Results showed that although there was provision of information, it was not based on the concept of informed consent, and the patient's free consent was not sought. In order for nurses to further develop patient protection, it is essential that there is a structure for information provision, and that the nurse, who lacks jurisdiction herself, gets support from a supervisor or the Ethics Committee.
