I gave students a test to check their knowledge of morphine hydrochloride. A lecture was given using the WHO cancer pain relief program textbook, and change in cancer pain management knowledge and nursing awareness was measured from student's subject reports. The results of the knowledge confirmation test were few correct answers about morphine habits and amount of morphine to administer. The results indicated knowledge gaps and students' prejudice towards morphine. The subject reports showed that although students obtained knowledge about cancerpain and morphine, awareness of nursing care against cancer pain was not improved. Pain management is indispensable for nursing pa-tients who have pain.
