In order to improve this, it is necessary to make effective use of the vocational assessment conducted as a system, while considering local conditions. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey among consultation support specialists in Matsue City to understand the implementation status and issues of vocational assessment. Based on the results, we discussed strategies for improving vocational assessment: the results showed that individuals with disabilities and work supporters benefited from the vocational assessment. However, there were issues related to the purpose, necessity, and procedures of vocational assessment. In addition, the disadvantages for users with disabilities and contents of the limitations of effectiveness could be clarified. Based on these results, we proposed measures to improve vocational assessment, such as flexible management, reduction of time, and expansion of the range of users with disabilities.
