サイエンス・パートナーシップ・プログラム事業の教育連携講座として,「チョコレートマグマを使った火山実験教室」を実践した.講義形式の授業,演示実験,実物標本の提示,噴火映像,キッチン火山学実験など,多彩な方法を導入し,生徒参加型の授業を構成した.生徒の設問への解答や実験ノート,感想について分析した結果,今回の教育連携講座は短時間にも関らず十分な成果を上げることができたと評価できる. |

The present paper reports on a university science program that was specifically developed for junior high school students. The course was offered at Akita University on December 15th, 2004. The purpose of the course was to help participants understand basics of natural science by introducing them to part of the course offered at university. The course covered the mechanism of volcanic eruption as a major topic, which was demonstrated by lecture, experiment, display of a specimen, and audio-visual material. To illustrate the eruption process, a hands-on eruption experiment was demonstrated using chocolate paste at the kitchen. The result of the questionnaire, which was administered to the participants at the end of the course, showed that the program was successful though it was a one-day program. |
