本論は, 2003年度から2004年度にかけて秋田大学教育文化学部で実施した日本事情の講義の実践報告である.当大学で実施している日本事情の講義はその性格上2種類に分けられているが,本論はそのうちの,日本文化に関する知識の授与を目的とする「日本事情III,IV」について扱っている.授業は受講者の口頭発表形式を基本に進行し,テーマは自由とした.授業実施に際しては,日本文化の表面的な知識の授与よりは,日常生活に根ざした様々なカルチャーショックとも言えるストレスから生じる問題点に着目し,受講者の興味を引き出すよう努めた.日本文化の知識の会得には,まず留学生の出身国の文化的項目を手始めにし,それを基にして日本文化の同等物に対して思考を巡らすのが効果的であると考え,さらにそうして得た知識を自国の文化や他の国への文化に対してフィードバックするという,双方向的な文化理解を到達目標とした. |

This is a case study of Japanese Affairs courses held at Akita University in 2003 and 2004. The courses are divided into two parts: one is Japanese Affairs I and n aiming at giving students skills for intercultural communication, and the other is Japanese Affairs in and IV for 'basic' knowledge of Japanese culture. The latter is dealt with in this paper. This class mainly consists of oral presentations on Japanese culture. We didn't focus on superficial cultural phenomena but on so-called 'culture shocks' which most foreign students experience. Through 'culture shocks,' they are able to find various kinds of cultural, and especially psychological background on Japan. Furthermore, we think that the most effective method is to start from consideration of cultural items of their homeland itself, and then, the counterparts of Japan. Our ultimate aim is two-way intercultural comprehension between students' own country and Japan. |
