The present paper reports the results of survey and interview research that was conducted with four grandparents who were playing a central role in helping their grandchildren with disabilities. The results indicated that the grandparents worried about the future of their grandchildren, even though a great deal of as sistance was provided by the institutions for children with disabilities.
