This lesson was conducted to build a curriculum based on individualized education support plans（plans that enable children themselves to be well-supported）to meet the educational needs of each child. Another objective of the lesson was to teach children how to handle money, a goal in which parents expressed a need and children indicated they were highly interested in.\nAs a result, the children engaged in shopping activities that enabled them to demonstrate numerical concepts learned in their arithmetic lessons furthermore they understand how to pay in the scene of shopping. The exercise also prompted their parents to start letting them get involved with shopping at home.\nThe concept of the “Exciting Shop” is designed to meet the educational needs of children and their parents, and has led to independent learning in children and a broader understanding in their parents.
