Especially, in case of complex dialect speech sounds, pronunciation that differs from the one sought is, in fact, given as the answer and it is often the case that the relevant pronunciation is inductively observed at the end of a number of exchanges. From this, it can be understood that among sounds considered to be similarly extant, there are some natural and qualitatively different variants that coexist. However, in spite of this fact, past research had practically no interest in the correlation between differences in response status and extant qualitative variants. Based on the abovementioned details, this paper examines what qualitative variants can be extracted from among dialect speech sounds that are simply labeled as extant and how this is related to the currently extant meaning and the subsequent changes. To achieve this, the study targeted elderly speakers of the Akita dialect. First, three levels called A type, B intermediate, and C knowledge were set based on the response status at the time of the survey and by comparisons with them, attempts were made to gain an understanding of the actual conditions related to the three qualitatively different speech sound events. As a result, it was revealed that in all the three events, there were qualitative variants of the dialect speech sounds in accordance with the existing levels A-C. Further, although A and B can be considered as continuous changes, there were significant gaps in C and it was identified that these gaps arose due to the fact that speakers of C relied on knowledge fragments and imitated the pronunciation of old dialect speech sounds.}, pages = {21--29}, title = {残存する方言音声の質的バリアント ― 典型から知識レベルの実相まで ―}, volume = {72}, year = {2017} }
