内容記述 | The objective of the paper was to identify the current state and issues in education of children enrolled in special needs schools for children with intellectual disabilities, who also have physical disabilities. The research showed that schoolteachers devised methods and educational content adapted to the actual conditions of the schoolchildren. However, many of the schoolteachers had little experience in the education of children with physical handicaps and were troubled with anxiety and problems in their own teaching methods. For this reason, it is necessary (1) to assign educators with expert knowledge in such schools; (2) to improve the school curriculum; and (3) to organize training programs related to independent activities. Additionally, greater communication with outside experts is necessary to gain counseling and assessment from occupational therapists and physical therapists. |
