内容記述 | "Kose(i Science of Art and Design)" is, as basic study of modeling general, positioned a field dealing with basic, common content for all modeling expression. The core of its exploration is the operational ways of using color, shape and material, i.e. "basic modeling elements". Through these actions, digging into modeling possibilities that are inherent to them manifest as "expression knowledge", this research can be said that it is directing develop of new modeling possibilities and their development. "Kosei" in teacher training education is positioned as a field that constitutes the art department, and in specific practice, it is required to be deployed in a manner which includes "design". There the exploration of pure "expression knowledge", the original essence of "Kosei", is required. At the same time it should be taken into account that the realization of the "design process" which develops that expression knowledge and changes them into concrete representation. As the background to take this way of thinking, an expression based on the methodology of the "Kosei" is placed as a series of a "problem discovery and problem-solving process" from the initial modeling idea to the final concrete representation. In other words, not only focusing on making "work" as the final result of modeling representation in one subject of education, but by emphasizing the attitude of finding and utilizing "expression knowledge" as we challenge and foster students' "design capacities" in their daily life. It is worth expecting the acquired "expression knowledge" throughout this process can be effectively used as an extremely important resource for material/element research in courses in Arts, Design and Craft. To focus on the above, as case studies involving the methodology of "Kosei" in undergraduate "graduate" and postgraduate courses "design research", I report on the teaching practices and results picking up on a particular subject that focuses on the characteristics of "light" as a modeling material/element. |
