| 内容記述 | The research investigated into practice of Period for Integrated Studies called Pascal Time at Akita Prefectural Omonogawa High School, for promoting special needs education in high schools. The study was conducted in the form of analysis of Pascal Time content and interviews with school representatives. The results showed effect not only on development of students requiring support but also the development of schoolteachers and other students. Additionally, it contributed to the growth of school culture aimed at "all schoolteachers engaging in the development of all students." In view of the findings, the study proposes the need for (1) improvement of the students' self-understanding and social skills, (2) approach in education toward "normalized support education" (for teachers and students) and (3) creation of special support education that is adapted to the school culture, for promotion of special needs education in high schools. | |||||||||
