I am teaching the“art and culture I\" and the“art and culture II\" in liberal arts education. The contents of the art and culture I is the history of Japanese music, and the art and cultureII is the history of Western music，and ethnomusicology. I have set up so that students can be learned in an all year. It is rare to treat a history of Western music and ethnomusicology by one lesson. So l analyzed the effect a statistical analysis of questionnaire survey. As a result，it was revealed that a student produced a synergistic effect by learning the history of Western music and ethnomusicology in one unit.
