This paper explore the structure and the elements of a Japanese old tale, “Kasa Jizo”, which is one of the most widely spread in Japan, from the view point of analytical psychology. Despite its simple expression, careful investigation of symbolism in the text shows psychological significance of this tale, namely, cosmology of an individual psyche.},
