The software developed consists of the several utility programs as follows : (1) Format conversion of the satellite data from basic to MS-DOS. (2) Image display due to color composite (pseudo or false color). (3) Revision for the geometrical distortion of satellite data. (4) Clipping of study area on image display. (5) Enlargement display of study area. (6) Integration among satellite data and digital data (afforestation age and terrain). (7) Multi-window display of data integrated. (8) Sampling of data integrated. (9) Output of the operational results on the display or printer. The investigation of the reflection luminance on the afforestation area were carried out by using the software developed. The cedars afforested on sunny site gave higher reflection luminance compared with ones on shady place. It was also obtained that the reflection luminance of the young cedars showed higher level than that of old one.
