The clothing materials have been used to protect human body from cold (or hot) surroundings. These are made of various materials such as cotton, wool, polyester, etc.. However, there are a few studies on the thermal conductivity of cloths from the viewpoint of heat transfer. Firstly, the authors investigated the phenomena of heat -flows through the cloths by conduction. The measurement method employed in this experiment was based upon the steady-state comparison method. It has been clarified that the effective thermal conductivity increases slightly with increasing temperature and is dependent on materials of fiber. Secondaly, the authors developed the apparatus with a water tank. In this apparatus, heat flowed throgh the cloths accompanied with moisture diffusion. The effectiveness of vaporizing rate as well as the temperature difference between the heater (simulated skin-temperature of the human body) and room are studied. Lastly, the interesting various phenomena are pointed out for the future investigation.}, pages = {31--42}, title = {布地の熱伝導の評価に関する研究}, year = {1997} }
