| 内容記述 | Objective : To clarify the possibilities and challenges of utilizing the “Draft Guidelines for Preventing Exposure to Anticancer Drugs in Home Nursing” (hereinafter referred to as the Draft Guidelines) in the field of home nursing. Methods : A questionnaire survey was administered to 158 home healthcare nurses from 79 home nursing facilities throughout Japan (two from each facility) who agreed to cooperate in the survey. The respondents were asked to rate the contents of each item in the Draft Guidelines on a three-point scale (helpful, insufficient, and not helpful). Those who answered “insufficient” or “not helpful” were asked to write freely about their opinions and what they would like to know more about. Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis, and the data from the free descriptions were classified based on similarities and differences. Results : In total, 56 responses were obtained (valid response rate : 35.4%). Thirteen of the 14 items in the Draft Guidelines were rated as helpful. An item on protective equipment and supplies was rated as insufficient by 12.5% of the nurses, who wanted a description of the thickness of the protective equipment and referrals to alternatives when the recommended items were not available. Conclusions : The Draft Guidelines were evaluated as helpful for preventing exposure to anticancer drugs among home healthcare nurses. However, more specific descriptions of protective equipment and supplies are needed. |
