| 内容記述 | The long-term maladjustment of university students is known to be predicted by their level of adjustment immediately after enrollment. This study aimed to develop a psychological scale to assess the“predictability of the environment”for first-year university students. Through a preliminary survey, items related to“unpredictability of the environment accompanied by feelings of distress”were collected from first-year students. In two subsequent surveys, important items were identified based on their correlations with stress, and the scale was constructed. The scale comprised three subscales:“academic and cultural aspects,”“interpersonal aspects,”and“external environmental aspects.”Analyses confirmed the construct validity of the scale. Furthermore, it was revealed that students with higher tendencies toward autism spectrum traits tend to perceive the environment as less predictable. | |||||||||||||||
