For the purpose, I put focus on following three phenomena, the accent of two-syllable nouns (types IV,V), the nasalization of /g/ sounds, the fusion of diphthong in this research. Moreover, I investigated the image of the Akita dialect and the consciousness about their usage of dialect, and considered how it would be connected with each of above-mentioned actual conditions. As a result, it turned out that the accent of two-syllable nouns (types IV,V) is used differently in the dialect and the common language, that the nasalization of /g/ sounds is declining in a remarkable degree compared to other dialects, and that the fusion of diphthong tends to be held clearly. Moreover, in the survey on their awareness, it turned out that the image of the Akita dialect and the consciousness about their usage of dialect is complicated.
