In this study, a method was devised for estimating the housing stock of each construction age, for each prefecture. The method was used to estimate the housing stock in Akita, for each construction age, as of 2020. A macroscopic calculation was made for Akita Prefecture, estimating the necessary number of new energy-saving houses to be built, and existing houses to be renovated for energy-saving, in order to reduce the overall energy consumption in Akita Prefecture houses (air conditioning, hot-water supply, light fixtures, and outlets) by 15％ compared to the 1990 level. |
