 note = {A simple yet approximately accurate formula is developed for calculating the degree of consolidation Uz at depth z . The formula was obtained by fitting of various functions to the actual Uz - z curves. Based upon this investigations, the Weibill distribution curve which provided a best-fit to the actual Uz - z curves was selected as a proposed equation. Using proposed equation, the degree of consolidation Uz can be easily calculated with less than 3% error.},
