Teaching was based on printed materials\nwhich contained observation tasks with explanations\nfor their results. Each of the tasks was\ngiven in which the students were asked to predict\nits results by answering some multiple-choice\nquestions on it.\nThe textbook used at the school has instructions\nfor students to do an experiment early in\nthe introductory part in which a cork plug made\nof polyethylene form is made to jump out of a\nflask by warming (the air in) the flask, but in\nour study the experiment was conducted later in the consolidating stage.
