The infusion catheter\nwas connected to a port implanted subcutaneously below the level of the inguinal\nligament.\nResults: Implantation of the system was successful in 107 of 113 patients (94.7%). We\ndid not treat with infusion chemotherapy on 5 of 107 patients because of poor general\ncondition. The observation period after placement ranged from 4 to 787 days (mean 233\ndays).
