| 内容記述 | This paper aims at giving consideration to the welfare problems concerning the old-aged who live alone at Jumonji town. one of the small towns situated in the south of Akita prefecture. As there live relatively more aged people in the districts among the mountains. to study the lives of the aged there, especially of those who live alone, will be significant for the further study of the welfare problems in Japanese society. The research has resulted in the recognition that the alone-living-aged in Jumonji town have formed a close network among their families, relatives and friends. On the other hand they make little use of welfare services, of which they have few expectations. They are not willing to participate in a social activity. Lack of willingness of taking part in the society is observed among them. Being limited in the neighborhood, the close network seems to cause the lack of their social consciousness. |
