| 内容記述 | Akita educational society encourages positively following kinds of sports and athletics. 1. Challengecup·game of baseball for high school. After the 16th match the meeting is stopped by the chairman on account of excessive attachment for win. But baseball is spread in Akita rapidly. 2. Introduction of Bujutsu (Kendo and Judo) into school gymnastic. Traditional Bujutsu are valude highly again as nationalistic and moral education. InBujutsu meeting (Kendo and Judo) increase year after year participant schools according to encouragement plan. 3. A course meeting for swimming in every year. A exercise place for swimming is seted up in the mouth of Omono river. 4. A Promotion of outdoor sports in winter. A skate rink is seted up on the moat of castle site and Ice athletic meeting on Hachiro lake is crowded with over one thousand people. In Taisho era ski is introduced, so custom of outdoor sports in winter is generally. In the later Meiji era in Akita lots of sports, athletics and on the times military, traditional Bujutsu are spread certainly by Akita educational society, so a fondation of pyhsical education in school and sports in Akita is maked up in this period. |
