内容記述 | The aim of this paper is to reflect ethically on recent theological thinkings. The concept of "God" once was one of the strongest grounds to prescribe the conscious acts of man. Nowadays, God in general was "killed" by F. Nietzsche (and that means the end of the metaphysical dualism, in which it is thought that the two worlds--upper and lower, supernatural and natural, spiritual and material, and so forth--are in existence and the former restricts the latter). Nevertheless, God as the prescriptive ground of human acts has not been completely dead. In case of emergency at any moment and in any place He can and must come to life in our daily lives. Hence the problem of our relation with God also can be a central theme to our ethics as a science of human acts. Undoubtedly, this theme should not be dealt so that God, not completely dead, may be ignored by radical and ethical criticism. If we can come across God here and now, we have no reason why our ethics should be so much "scientific" as to "kill" even such God. Of course, on this occasion, the concept of "God" itself should radically be reformed. And our question is as follows: Where and when can we come across "our own God" ? As is well known to everybody this is the question that the German Protestant theology, particularlY the existential theology in the twentieth century has been pursuing as a basic theme. Therefore in our ethics we should, first, listen modestly to the words that the existential theology tells about problems of God, and secondly, reflect on the words as much as possible from the viewpoint of our ethics which deals God as the ground to prescribe human acts, and thirdly, seek after the clues to resolve the question which we presented above. |
