| 内容記述 | From 1604 to 1605 there was a vogue of so called "disguised ruler" plays on London stage, which followed the coronation of the new king, lames 1. Off course, each playwright had his strategy to negotiate with the time in joining the vogue. The following paper will examine one of "disguised ruler" plays, Parasitaster or the Fawn by John Marston, mainly in terms of material and historical condition, and show the cultural and political aspect of this play which has not been fully discussed yet. |
