内容記述 In a previous study, a survey was carried out in order to investigate the factors affecting the accidents in senior high school. As a result, there was a tendency for the school with high percentage of male students to have the high incidence rate from accidents. Moreover, there were some schools, especially with high incidence rates, making efforts to lower the rates by
means of operations on safety education and administrations.
The present study additionally attempted to investigate the factors relating to the
accidents in primary and junior high school. Questionnaires were sent to the head of each
school, and the various kinds of frequencies on the operation for safety education and
administrations in the last year were mainly asked. This survey also revealed that the
schools with high incidence rates from accidents did not necessarily have the low frequencies on the operation for safety instruction, inspection and so on. Meanwhile the relationship
between the incidence rate and the medical benefit per person showed the negative correlation.
The incidence rates were higher and the medical benefits per person were lower in urban areas than in rural areas. These results implied that the incidence rate may be influenced by the extent of concern about the medical benefit system. Namely it seems that schools in urban areas apply the medical benefit more frequently even in the case of a slight injury than those in rural areas.
