| 内容記述 | Programming of cochlear implant requires subjective responses to a series of psychophysical percepts. Adults can readily provide the information necessary for programming the speech processor. However, younger children may be limited to provide the necessary information. Especially, it is difficult for young deaf children to measure maximum comfortable level (C level), and so the need for objective ways to program speech processor has become more important. This study was carried out in order to assess the relationship between electrically evoked stapedius reflex (eSR) and C level in cochlear implant patients. The subjects were 13 postlinuistically deafened adult and 7 prelinguistically or perilinguistically children who were received rehabilitation. Of 20 subjects evaluated, eSR were present in 15 (75%). The eSR thresholds alway was located close to C level. The eSR thresholds were compared with C level by regression analysis. A highly significant statistical positive correlation was observed in eSR threshold and C level (r=0.94, p<O.Ol). The use of eSR measures may be helpful in setting C levels for pediatric cochlear implant patients. |
