内容記述 The idea 'the endless progress of humanbeing for the purpose of realizing the sole absolute ideal is good' (grand theory) comes to be doubted now a day. In such a state of thought, people are recommended to enrich their lives in their own situations in which they themselves are put. Michel Foucault
calls this way of life 'the aesthetics of existence'. Of course, his thought is denounced for example by Frankfurt school. To be sure, its criticism should be ratified. Since it is impossible to restore grand theory, however, we can't forsake easily the clue presented by Foucault to the method of enriching our own lives. To enrich individual life--how should this ideal be considered?
In order to solve this question, I dare to throw back this Foucault's thought into the context of German Idealism (as the representation of modern subjectivism), because it contains the later philosophy
of F.WJ.Schelling and J.G.Fichte, which aren't included in its straight development toward the Hegel's absolute idealism. In this paper I especially grapple with Fichte's later philosophy which is generally
considered as more old-fashioned than Schelling's one. Around his philosophy began to change its feature from anthropology of I (Ich) into the philosophy of religion. During this change Fichte made strong effort to pass the crisis with which his earlier philosophy had been confronted. To put it
concretely, this effort was directed to solve the question; What is the lOch) which produces images as they are by itself? And it implies the foundamental question of human-formation; How can we explain
the fact that I exist as I am and I become myself? I try to clarify the foundamental structure of selfformation in such a philosophic effort of later Fichte.
