Human voice can reflect his/ her age, physical size, even our lifestyle and personality. An American speech scientist Rupal Patel said in her TED presentation in 2013. Inspired by responses from the participants － most of them were school teachers, in the workshop on breath and voice, which was held under the Center for Educational Research and Practice, Akita University in 2012, this paper explores psychological significance of human voice. A case vignette of play-therapy with a sevenyear- old boy with dysarthria gives us a certain image about fundamental aspect of human voice and the soul.
