幼児が遊びを通して学んでいること -「遊び」の中の「学び」という観点から- A Perspective of Learning in Play(1) 山名, 裕子 Yamana, Yuko learning in play cognitive development social development childhood This paper aims to discuss the significance of children's play as a special form of learning, especially on the two aspects of cognitive and social development. Firstly, it was discussed that children would acquire a variety of numerical concepts not by being taught by their teachers but through their play with their peers or adults. Some case studies were shown to reveal how they become to understand numeracy through concrete experiences that were related to numerical understanding. Secondly, it was indicated that children would learn how to adjust themselves to a society after experiencing psychological conflicts during their play.
