          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">WC-14%TiC-8%Co cemented carbide of as-sintered was immediately quenched. In comparison with conventional sintered specimen, the strengths of the quenched cemented carbides were increased by 20.2%～32.8%. It was ascribed that the formation of the slip steps on WC grain's edge is induced by thermal-stresses during quenching.</datacite:description>
